The question this issue poses
A defence-electronics OEM that owns its technology outright and ships 94% of India's thermal imaging exports by units is asking 78.8× FY26 earnings in the same year its revenue fell 22.69% and the export business that had been two-thirds of sales all but disappeared.
IPOVista score
Every pillar opens to show the raw metric, the curve it was mapped through, the sub-score and its weight. Disagree with the weighting if you like — the arithmetic is all here.
IPOVista score
Profitable but slow-growing
87% of the scoring model was backed by disclosed data for Tonbo Imaging, giving high confidence. Weights for anything missing were redistributed rather than scored as zero.
Below the line: market sentiment. Capped at 8 of 100 points so a hot grey market can tilt a score but never carry one.

None of the money raised reaches the company. Existing shareholders are selling down; the balance sheet is unchanged by the listing.

The company
Founded 2003 · Bengaluru, Karnataka · 339 employees
Tonbo Imaging is a defence electronics original equipment manufacturer that designs, develops and manufactures the sensing, processing, communication and guidance systems used for surveillance, reconnaissance, targeting and fire control. Its portfolio spans thermal imaging cores, weapon sights, hand-held thermal binoculars, targeting systems, missile seekers, fire control systems and missile guidance systems — broadly, the equipment that lets a soldier, a vehicle or a missile see and identify a target in darkness, smoke or bad weather. The company was incorporated in Bengaluru in December 2003 as Sarnoff Innovative Technologies Private Limited and had 339 permanent employees as of 30 June 2026. As of the same date it reported more than 28,000 systems deployed across 24 countries. Two facts in the RHP define its competitive position: per the commissioned Frost & Sullivan report it held a 94% share of India's thermal imaging exports by units shipped between FY24 and FY26, and its EO/IR products are free of US ITAR export controls, which lets it sell into non-aligned and export-sensitive markets that ITAR-bound Western OEMs cannot serve. Since FY24 it has owned 100% of its intellectual property outright, having bought it from CEAQ Singapore under assignment agreements dated 11 March 2024.
Tonbo sells hardware into government and defence procurement, won through competitive tenders rather than recurring contracts — the RHP is explicit that it has no annuity revenue and that customer relationships are typically short-term and tied to a specific product. It keeps design and IP in-house and scales production through certified electronics manufacturing partners rather than owning heavy plant, which is why net tangible fixed asset turnover ran at 14.62× in FY26. Revenue is reported in three product buckets: Tactical systems (soldier-carried electro-optical sights) contributed ₹211.68 Cr of FY26 revenue from operations, Platform systems (optics integrated into vehicles and weapon platforms) ₹144.81 Cr, and OEM component sales ₹1.20 Cr. That mix has swung hard — Tactical was ₹362.30 Cr and Platform only ₹101.05 Cr in FY25. The geographic mix swung harder still: exports were 65.52% of revenue in FY25 and just 5.57% in FY26, as a single large export customer that supplied 57.07% of FY25 revenue fell to 13.78% in FY26. Revenue is also seasonally back-loaded; the RHP notes revenue recognition concentrates in the second half of the financial year, which is why the June quarter shows a loss.
What makes it hard to copy
Its EO/IR systems are designed in India and carry no US ITAR export restriction, and since FY24 it has owned the underlying IP outright including five granted US patents — which, per the commissioned Frost & Sullivan report, underpins a 94.3% share of India's thermal imaging export volumes by units over FY24–FY26.

Demand
Subscription is hard exchange data. Grey-market premium is not — it is an unofficial quote, shown because readers want it and labelled because it deserves the label.
Cumulative bid multiples
Bidding has not opened yet, so there is no subscription data to show.
Premium quoted over the ₹700 cut-off price. Unofficial and unregulated — sentiment, not a forecast.
The grey market is an informal, unregulated market with no clearing house and no obligation to settle. A premium here does not guarantee a listing gain, and quotes can move sharply — this one ranged ₹270 to ₹460, a spread of ₹190, across the period shown.
Work it out
Three calculations, each stating the assumption it rests on.
Shares are applied for in whole lots at the cut-off price. The full amount is blocked in your bank account under ASBA, not debited, until allotment.
One lot is 21 shares at ₹14,700. Retail applications are capped at ₹2,00,000, which allows up to 13 lots here — apply for more and you are bidding as a non-institutional investor instead.
Applying needs a demat account with a linked UPI ID, and the ₹14,700 is blocked rather than debited.

When the retail category is oversubscribed, SEBI requires a lottery for the minimum lot. Every application has the same chance, whatever its size.
Retail subscription figures are not available yet, so there is nothing to estimate from.
Arithmetic on an unofficial quote. The grey market has no clearing house and no obligation to settle — this is sentiment made numeric, not a forecast.
