The question this issue poses
The highest-returning business in its own peer table — 34.05% RoCE and 25.66% RoE in CY2025, debt-free, with margins that have climbed four years running — offered at 46.32 times CY2025 earnings in a deal where not one new share is issued and every rupee goes to the Italian parent.
IPOVista score
Every pillar opens to show the raw metric, the curve it was mapped through, the sub-score and its weight. Disagree with the weighting if you like — the arithmetic is all here.
IPOVista score
A trade-off in both directions
88% of the scoring model was backed by disclosed data for Bonfiglioli, giving high confidence. Weights for anything missing were redistributed rather than scored as zero.
Below the line: market sentiment. Capped at 8 of 100 points so a hot grey market can tilt a score but never carry one.

Entirely an offer for sale
None of the money raised reaches the company. Existing shareholders are selling down; the balance sheet is unchanged by the listing.
Grey market data is unofficial
GMP is an unregulated, unverifiable over-the-counter quote. It is shown as a sentiment indicator and carries no settlement guarantee.

The company
Founded 1998 · Thirumudivakkam, Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu · 627 employees · part of Bonfiglioli Group (Bonfiglioli S.p.A., Italy)
Bonfiglioli Transmissions is the Indian manufacturing arm of Bonfiglioli S.p.A., the Italian gearbox and drives group, and it makes the hardware that converts a motor's rotation into controlled, high-torque movement — gear motors, gearboxes, planetary drives and the electronics that run them. The range starts at 13 Nm helical, bevel and worm gear motors used on conveyors, mixers and packaging lines and reaches 1,400 kNm planetary units, and it includes the yaw and pitch drives that turn a wind turbine's nacelle into the wind and twist its blades. The company was incorporated in Tamil Nadu in 1998 as Bonfiglioli Deepak Private Limited and has operated in India for more than 25 years; the Bonfiglioli brand itself is close to 70 years old. It runs three plants — Thirumudivakkam and Mannur in Tamil Nadu and Talegaon in Maharashtra — which together built 341,133 gear motors and gearboxes in CY2025. As of 30 June 2026 it employed 627 people on-roll within a 1,032-person workforce, sold through 13 sales offices and 44 dealers (36 of them exclusive), and served more than 930 customers directly. By revenue, Frost & Sullivan ranks it India's largest maker of gearboxes below 15 kNm and drives serving the industrial automation, off-highway mobility and wind markets.
Three verticals carry the business. Industry & Automation Solutions was 40.95% of CY2025 revenue from operations and sells largely catalogue gear motors and gearboxes to OEMs and through dealers into material handling, chemicals and pharma, mining, food, metal processing and textiles — customers include ElectroMech Material Handling, GMM Pfaudler, Terex India and Ammann India, and no single end-industry contributes more than 10% of the vertical. Off-Highway Mobility was 25.18% and is a co-engineering business: swing, track, drum, wheel and hoist drives designed alongside JCB India, CNH Industrial, Schwing Stetter, Hyundai Construction Equipment, Action Construction Equipment and Wirtgen. Wind was 31.53%, supplying yaw and pitch drives to Nordex India, Senvion and Suzlon, a niche where F&S puts the company's domestic share at 67.9%. By channel, CY2025 revenue was 63.30% direct, 19.42% through dealers and 15.22% inter-company sales to other Bonfiglioli Group entities for onward sale — that last share climbed to 20.00% in H1 CY2026. Exports were 27.51% of CY2025 revenue. Critically, the intellectual property and the brand sit with the Italian parent and are licensed in; the Indian company owns no registered trademarks, patents or designs of its own, and has historically returned profit upward as dividend — ₹92.75 Cr in CY2025 and ₹109.98 Cr in the first six months of CY2026 alone.
What makes it hard to copy
Frost & Sullivan puts its share of domestic yaw and pitch drive manufacture for wind at 67.9%, and the Chennai R&D centre it designs through is the only laboratory in India equipped to test yaw and pitch drives for wind turbines.

The numbers
Revenue has compounded at 9.0% a year across the 3 reported financial years.
Figures in ₹ crore, as reported in the prospectus. Interim quarters are not annualised.
Profit and operating margin as a percentage of revenue
At each period end, in ₹ crore. Gearing below each period is borrowings over net worth, from these same figures.
Profit after tax and net cash from operating activities, in ₹ crore. The figure under each period is cash generated per ₹100 of profit.
Above 100% the business collects more cash than it books as profit. Persistently below it, growth is being funded out of working capital.
The price
At the upper band this issue asks a 16.8% discount to the median P/E of the listed peers its own prospectus names.
Always post-issue, so issues stay comparable with each other
4 listed companies the prospectus names itself
Earnings and sales behind one share, and the multiple the band asks for them.
Returns and margins. These are the figures that say whether the multiple above is deserved.
Gearing at the latest balance-sheet date.
Asking P/E against operating margin. All marks are the same size — market capitalisation is not disclosed for every company here, and sizing only some of them would read as a measurement.
Peer companies are those named in the issuer's own prospectus. A higher position means better margins; further right means a more expensive multiple. Market capitalisation, where disclosed, is in the tooltip and the table.
The terms
This is entirely an offer for sale: none of the money raised reaches the company.

Demand
Subscription is hard exchange data. Grey-market premium is not — it is an unofficial quote, shown because readers want it and labelled because it deserves the label.
Cumulative bid multiples
Bidding has not opened yet, so there is no subscription data to show.
Premium quoted over the ₹586 cut-off price. Unofficial and unregulated — sentiment, not a forecast.
The grey market is an informal, unregulated market with no clearing house and no obligation to settle. A premium here does not guarantee a listing gain, and quotes can move sharply — this one ranged ₹70 to ₹175, a spread of ₹105, across the period shown.
Work it out
Three calculations, each stating the assumption it rests on.
Shares are applied for in whole lots at the cut-off price. The full amount is blocked in your bank account under ASBA, not debited, until allotment.
One lot is 25 shares at ₹14,650. Retail applications are capped at ₹2,00,000, which allows up to 13 lots here — apply for more and you are bidding as a non-institutional investor instead.
Applying needs a demat account with a linked UPI ID, and the ₹14,650 is blocked rather than debited.

When the retail category is oversubscribed, SEBI requires a lottery for the minimum lot. Every application has the same chance, whatever its size.
Retail subscription figures are not available yet, so there is nothing to estimate from.
Arithmetic on an unofficial quote. The grey market has no clearing house and no obligation to settle — this is sentiment made numeric, not a forecast.
₹736.00
implied listing price, 25.6% over the cut-off
Grey-market premiums have historically moved sharply in the days before listing and have been wrong in both directions. Treat this figure as a measure of current enthusiasm, nothing more.

Our read
Grounded only in figures disclosed in the prospectus. This is analysis, not a recommendation.
Straight from the filing
Every figure on this page comes out of these. Go and check them.
Served by the issuer, the exchange or the regulator — never a copy hosted here, so what you open is the filing itself.
The paperwork
How these figures were checked
Reconciled to Bonfiglioli's own prospectus and to exchange disclosures, then cross-checked against 6 other independently published compilations of the same filing. Where a stated ratio disagreed with the line items it should come from, the disagreement was settled against the prospectus itself.
The prospectus is the authoritative document. Check anything that matters against it before you act.
