A founder-owned value-added dairy that took profit from ₹19.44 Cr to ₹127.01 Cr in two years and carries 4.42× debt-to-equity, offered at 84.85x post-issue earnings — above every comparable named in its own prospectus, including Nestlé India at 79.76x.

IPOVista score
Real growth, demanding price
90% of the scoring model was backed by disclosed data for Milky Mist, giving high confidence. Weights for anything missing were redistributed rather than scored as zero.
Below the line: market sentiment. Capped at 8 of 100 points so a hot grey market can tilt a score but never carry one.

Leveraged balance sheet
Debt-to-equity of 4.4× leaves limited headroom if demand softens or rates rise.
Priced above its peer group
The upper band asks a 45.8% premium to the median P/E of the listed peers named in the prospectus.
Grey market data is unofficial

The company
Founded 2014 · Perundurai, Erode, Tamil Nadu · 1,317 employees
Milky Mist is a branded packaged-food company built around value-added dairy rather than liquid milk. It pioneered branded packaged paneer in India and held roughly a 17% share of the organised packaged paneer market in FY25. The range now spans paneer, curd, cheese, butter, ghee, yoghurt, ice cream, UHT products, condensed milk, chocolates and frozen and ready-to-cook items, sold under the Milky Mist brand and sub-brands. Milk is bought directly from 67,615 farmers across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka rather than through aggregators, which gives the company control over input quality and cost but also ties it to the procurement cycle. Processing runs through two manufacturing facilities, the main plant at Perundurai in Tamil Nadu and a second in Bengaluru. Distribution reaches 22 states and 5 union territories through more than 350,000 retail touchpoints. The company was incorporated in July 2014 and remains closely held by its founding family, with promoters T. Sathish Kumar and Anitha S holding 93% before the issue and 79.52% after it.
The margin comes from conversion, not from milk. Liquid milk is a low-margin commodity; paneer, cheese, yoghurt and ice cream are branded products that carry shelf price power, which is why the FY26 EBITDA margin was 13.87% against listed liquid-milk comparables such as Parag Milk Foods (10.73% RoNW) and Dodla Dairy (15.95%). Two things make the model capital-hungry. The cold chain has to run end to end, from chilling centres at the procurement end to refrigerated retail at the consumer end — ₹155.31 Cr of the fresh issue is earmarked purely for placing visi coolers, ice cream freezers and chocolate coolers in stores the company does not own. And capacity has been expanded on borrowed money: borrowings rose from ₹1,036.72 Cr in FY24 to ₹1,671.85 Cr in FY26 against net worth of ₹378.00 Cr, a debt-to-equity of 3.61x. The payoff so far has been steep operating leverage — revenue grew from ₹1,826.86 Cr to ₹3,145.01 Cr over two years while profit after tax went from ₹19.44 Cr to ₹127.01 Cr, a 6.5x increase, lifting RoNW to 33.60%. But RoCE was only 11.73% over the same year, so a large part of that equity return is leverage rather than operating performance.
What makes it hard to copy
Milk is bought direct from 74,654 farmers across 25 districts through 3,907 automatic milk collection units and 29 chilling centres, with no aggregator in between — the RHP's industry consultant puts Milky Mist among the highest direct-procurement shares of any organised private dairy in India, and that control over 294.48 million litres of input underwrites a roughly 19.0% share of the organised packaged paneer market.

The numbers
Revenue has compounded at 31.2% a year across the 3 reported financial years.
Figures in ₹ crore, as reported in the prospectus. Interim quarters are not annualised.
Profit and operating margin as a percentage of revenue
EBITDA margin is disclosed for only one period, so it is shown as a point rather than a trend.
At each period end, in ₹ crore. Gearing below each period is borrowings over net worth, from these same figures.
The price
At the upper band this issue asks a 45.8% premium to the median P/E of the listed peers its own prospectus names.

P/E against operating margin
The peer table does not carry both a P/E and an operating margin for enough companies to plot.
The terms
92% of the money raised is fresh capital that goes to the company; the rest goes to shareholders selling down.
Share of the net offer set aside for each investor category
Select a category to see who bids in it and how allotment works there.
Percentages are of the net offer, which excludes any employee or shareholder reservation.

Hover or focus an object to see whether that spending grows the business or repairs the balance sheet.
50% of the quantified proceeds is earmarked for growth; the rest repairs the balance sheet or is unallocated.
Demand
Subscription is hard exchange data. Grey-market premium is not — it is an unofficial quote, shown because readers want it and labelled because it deserves the label.
Cumulative bid multiples at the end of day 3. Anchor allocations are excluded.
Hover or focus a category to see who bids in it.
A category subscribed above 1× is oversubscribed; allotment in that category then runs as a lottery or on a proportionate basis.
Anchor investors commit one working day before the issue opens and are locked in for 30 and 90 days. Who turns up here is the first real signal of institutional appetite.
Notable participants
Premium quoted over the ₹140 cut-off price. Unofficial and unregulated — sentiment, not a forecast.
The grey market is an informal, unregulated market with no clearing house and no obligation to settle. A premium here does not guarantee a listing gain, and quotes can move sharply — this one ranged ₹20 to ₹25, a spread of ₹5, across the period shown.
Outcome
As of 13 Oct 2026
Work it out
Three calculations, each stating the assumption it rests on.
Shares are applied for in whole lots at the cut-off price. The full amount is blocked in your bank account under ASBA, not debited, until allotment.
One lot is 107 shares at ₹14,980. Retail applications are capped at ₹2,00,000, which allows up to 13 lots here — apply for more and you are bidding as a non-institutional investor instead.
When the retail category is oversubscribed, SEBI requires a lottery for the minimum lot. Every application has the same chance, whatever its size.
~12%
chance of one lot, per application
This is an estimate of a lottery, not a prediction. Actual odds depend on the final basis of allotment, how many applications were at the minimum lot, and rejections for technical reasons. Applying from multiple distinct PANs is the only legitimate way to hold more tickets in that lottery.
This issue has listed, so there is a real number instead of a prediction. The grey-market premium is shown beside it for comparison.
₹165.00
listed at, 17.9% against the issue price
The grey market called 17.9% and the stock did 17.9% — a miss of 0.0 percentage points.
