The question this issue poses
India's largest hospital network by beds asked 84.65× FY26 earnings — a premium to all three peers named in its own offer document — in the one year its profit actually fell, so the price depends entirely on the acquired beds filling up rather than on the earnings already on the page.
IPOVista score
Every pillar opens to show the raw metric, the curve it was mapped through, the sub-score and its weight. Disagree with the weighting if you like — the arithmetic is all here.
IPOVista score
Real growth, demanding price
90% of the scoring model was backed by disclosed data for Manipal Health, giving high confidence. Weights for anything missing were redistributed rather than scored as zero.
Below the line: market sentiment. Capped at 8 of 100 points so a hot grey market can tilt a score but never carry one.

The company
Founded 2010 · Bengaluru, Karnataka · 24,240 employees · part of Manipal Education and Medical Group (MEMG)
Manipal Health Enterprises runs the Manipal Hospitals network — India's largest pan-India private multi-specialty hospital chain by bed capacity. As of 31 March 2026 it operated 49 hospitals with 13,037 licensed beds across 14 states and union territories, alongside 21 clinics and a set of diagnostic centres, staffed by 11,064 doctors and 24,240 employees in total. The footprint is the widest of any private chain in the country, and it was built substantially by acquisition rather than greenfield construction: the company bought a majority stake in Sahyadri Hospitals from Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan for ₹5,841 Cr, adding 11 hospitals. The company itself was incorporated in 2010, although the Manipal hospital brand is far older. Ownership before the IPO was concentrated in the Manipal Education and Medical Group alongside Temasek, which is the largest single shareholder.
A hospital chain earns on the occupied bed, not the admitted patient, and Manipal's numbers show exactly that. Average revenue per occupied bed reached ₹66,144 a day in FY26, up from ₹59,820 in FY25 — a richer case mix and better-paying payors on roughly the same physical asset. Only 6,878 of the 13,037 licensed beds were operational in FY26, and occupancy on those operational beds was 64.47%. Revenue from operations grew from ₹6,171.63 Cr in FY24 to ₹8,242.25 Cr in FY25 and ₹10,335.75 Cr in FY26, and EBITDA tracked it from ₹1,776.60 Cr to ₹2,795.94 Cr at a 27.05% FY26 margin. The acquisition strategy, however, shows up below EBITDA: total borrowings more than doubled from ₹4,766.83 Cr at FY25 to ₹10,553.43 Cr at FY26 and total assets jumped from ₹14,072.08 Cr to ₹24,864.50 Cr, so the depreciation, amortisation and interest from bought-in hospitals pushed profit after tax down from ₹1,081.67 Cr to ₹916.52 Cr even as revenue rose 25.4%.
What makes it hard to copy

The peer table does not carry both a P/E and an operating margin for enough companies to plot.
The terms
86% of the money raised is fresh capital that goes to the company; the rest goes to shareholders selling down.

Percentages are of the net offer, which excludes any employee or shareholder reservation.

9% of the quantified proceeds is earmarked for growth; the rest repairs the balance sheet or is unallocated.
Demand
Subscription is hard exchange data. Grey-market premium is not — it is an unofficial quote, shown because readers want it and labelled because it deserves the label.
Cumulative bid multiples at the end of day 3. Anchor allocations are excluded.
Hover or focus a category to see who bids in it.
A category subscribed above 1× is oversubscribed; allotment in that category then runs as a lottery or on a proportionate basis.
Anchor investors commit one working day before the issue opens and are locked in for 30 and 90 days. Who turns up here is the first real signal of institutional appetite.
Notable participants
Premium quoted over the ₹590 cut-off price. Unofficial and unregulated — sentiment, not a forecast.
The grey market is an informal, unregulated market with no clearing house and no obligation to settle. A premium here does not guarantee a listing gain, and quotes can move sharply — this one ranged ₹1 to ₹6, a spread of ₹5, across the period shown.
Outcome
As of 13 Oct 2026
Work it out
Three calculations, each stating the assumption it rests on.
Shares are applied for in whole lots at the cut-off price. The full amount is blocked in your bank account under ASBA, not debited, until allotment.
One lot is 25 shares at ₹14,750. Retail applications are capped at ₹2,00,000, which allows up to 13 lots here — apply for more and you are bidding as a non-institutional investor instead.
When the retail category is oversubscribed, SEBI requires a lottery for the minimum lot. Every application has the same chance, whatever its size.
~100%
chance of one lot, per application
This is an estimate of a lottery, not a prediction. Actual odds depend on the final basis of allotment, how many applications were at the minimum lot, and rejections for technical reasons. Applying from multiple distinct PANs is the only legitimate way to hold more tickets in that lottery.
This issue has listed, so there is a real number instead of a prediction. The grey-market premium is shown beside it for comparison.
₹655.00
listed at, 11.0% against the issue price
The grey market called 0.2% and the stock did 11.0% — a miss of 10.8 percentage points.
