The question this issue poses
A capacity story priced ahead of itself: ₹19,538.45 Cr of assets currently producing ₹40.46 Cr of profit, offered at 316.9x post-issue earnings — roughly twice the richest listed peer — on the argument that most of the 7,910.20 MW portfolio has not started earning yet.

IPOVista score
Real growth, demanding price
78% of the scoring model was backed by disclosed data for Juniper Green, giving medium confidence. Weights for anything missing were redistributed rather than scored as zero.
Below the line: market sentiment. Capped at 8 of 100 points so a hot grey market can tilt a score but never carry one.

The company
Founded 2011 · New Delhi · 733 employees · part of AT Capital Group, Singapore
Juniper Green Energy is an independent power producer that builds and runs utility-scale renewable generation in India — solar, wind, hybrid solar-wind projects and battery energy storage. It is not a manufacturer and does not sell electricity to households; it wins capacity through competitive auctions, builds the plant, and then sells the output under long-term power purchase agreements to intermediaries and large buyers. Offtakers named in the prospectus include the state-backed procurers SECI, SJVN, NHPC and NTPC, alongside private buyers such as Tata Power. The company was incorporated in December 2011 as AT Capital Advisory India Private Limited, renamed Juniper Green Energy Private Limited in 2018, and converted to a public limited company in May 2025. Projects are concentrated in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. As of 30 June 2026 the total portfolio stood at 7,910.20 MW (10,247.06 MWp) counting operational, under-construction, contracted and awarded capacity together, which places it among India's ten largest renewable IPPs by portfolio. Only a minority of that was generating at the time of the issue: the company reported an operational portfolio of roughly 2,745 MWp plus 603 MWh of battery storage by early October 2026.
Revenue is a tariff multiplied by units generated, locked in for the life of a 25-year power purchase agreement, which is why the FY26 EBITDA margin was 85.99% — once a solar or wind farm is commissioned there is almost no variable cost. The economics are therefore entirely front-loaded into capital: the company borrows heavily to build, then collects a thin but extremely predictable annuity for decades. That shows up starkly in the balance sheet. Total assets went from ₹4,986.44 Cr in FY24 to ₹19,538.45 Cr in FY26, and borrowings from ₹2,671.70 Cr to ₹12,920.54 Cr, while revenue only moved from ₹424.45 Cr to ₹804.93 Cr and profit after tax stayed flat at ₹40.06 Cr, ₹36.48 Cr and ₹40.46 Cr across the three years. Interest and depreciation on capacity that is built but not yet earning absorb nearly all of the EBITDA. The company handles the full project lifecycle in house — auction bidding, site prospecting, land acquisition, grid connectivity approvals, engineering, procurement, project financing, construction, commissioning and ongoing operations and maintenance.
What makes it hard to copy
At 30 June 2026, 97.68% of the 7,910.20 MW (10,247.06 MWp) portfolio was contracted under long-term power purchase agreements — typically 25 years — with counterparties rated "A" or above, and the company bids, builds and maintains the plants with in-house EPC and O&M teams rather than contractors.

P/E against operating margin
The peer table does not carry both a P/E and an operating margin for enough companies to plot.
The terms
100% of the money raised is fresh capital that goes to the company; the rest goes to shareholders selling down.
Share of the net offer set aside for each investor category
Select a category to see who bids in it and how allotment works there.
Percentages are of the net offer, which excludes any employee or shareholder reservation.
Stated objects of the fresh issue, largest first
Hover or focus an object to see whether that spending grows the business or repairs the balance sheet.
0% of the quantified proceeds is earmarked for growth; the rest repairs the balance sheet or is unallocated.
Demand
Subscription is hard exchange data. Grey-market premium is not — it is an unofficial quote, shown because readers want it and labelled because it deserves the label.
Cumulative bid multiples at the end of day 3. Anchor allocations are excluded.
Hover or focus a category to see who bids in it.
A category subscribed above 1× is oversubscribed; allotment in that category then runs as a lottery or on a proportionate basis.
Anchor investors commit one working day before the issue opens and are locked in for 30 and 90 days. Who turns up here is the first real signal of institutional appetite.
Notable participants
Premium quoted over the ₹225 cut-off price. Unofficial and unregulated — sentiment, not a forecast.
The grey market is an informal, unregulated market with no clearing house and no obligation to settle. A premium here does not guarantee a listing gain, and quotes can move sharply — this one ranged ₹2 to ₹25, a spread of ₹23, across the period shown.
Outcome
As of 13 Oct 2026
Work it out
Three calculations, each stating the assumption it rests on.
Shares are applied for in whole lots at the cut-off price. The full amount is blocked in your bank account under ASBA, not debited, until allotment.
One lot is 66 shares at ₹14,850. Retail applications are capped at ₹2,00,000, which allows up to 13 lots here — apply for more and you are bidding as a non-institutional investor instead.
When the retail category is oversubscribed, SEBI requires a lottery for the minimum lot. Every application has the same chance, whatever its size.
~100%
chance of one lot, per application
This is an estimate of a lottery, not a prediction. Actual odds depend on the final basis of allotment, how many applications were at the minimum lot, and rejections for technical reasons. Applying from multiple distinct PANs is the only legitimate way to hold more tickets in that lottery.
This issue has listed, so there is a real number instead of a prediction. The grey-market premium is shown beside it for comparison.
₹245.00
listed at, 8.9% against the issue price
The grey market called 8.9% and the stock did 8.9% — a miss of 0.0 percentage points.
