The question this issue poses
Inox Clean Energy is asking for ₹10,000 Cr against a company whose reported FY26 revenue from operations was ₹178.13 Cr. Almost everything it intends to list was bought in the last two years, so the only honest picture of the business is the pro forma one — ₹2,046.40 Cr of revenue, ₹1,190.39 Cr of EBITDA and a loss of ₹408.45 Cr — and the reported accounts and the pro forma accounts tell opposite stories about whether the company makes money.

Every pillar opens to show the raw metric, the curve it was mapped through, the sub-score and its weight. Disagree with the weighting if you like — the arithmetic is all here.
IPOVista score
Balance sheet is the open question
64% of the scoring model was backed by disclosed data for Inox Clean Energy, giving medium confidence. Weights for anything missing were redistributed rather than scored as zero.
Below the line: market sentiment. Capped at 8 of 100 points so a hot grey market can tilt a score but never carry one.

The company
Founded 2017 · Vadodara, Gujarat (registered office); corporate office at INOX GFL Towers, Noida · part of INOXGFL Group
Inox Clean Energy is the renewable energy arm of the INOXGFL Group, which also controls three listed companies — Gujarat Fluorochemicals, Inox Wind and Inox Green Energy Services. It runs two businesses. The first is an independent power producer: as of 31 August 2026 it held a 9.29 GW renewable portfolio across solar, wind and wind-solar hybrid projects in India, Zambia, Zimbabwe and the Democratic Republic of Congo, of which 2.37 GW was operational, 0.80 GW under construction, 2.99 GW pipeline and 3.13 GW described as future capacity. Customers are central and state utilities, DISCOMs, commercial and industrial buyers, group-captive consumers and the merchant market — 108 unique off-takers in all, with 46.68% of operational capacity contracted to utilities, 52.48% to C&I customers including INOXGFL Group entities, and 0.84% sold merchant. The second business is solar manufacturing: 6.00 GW of operational module capacity split between Bavla in Gujarat and Greenville in North Carolina, with solar cell capacity still under construction. Almost all of this was assembled by acquisition over the last two years, which is why the reported accounts are so much smaller than the asset base.
Annuity cash from power plants plus a manufacturing arm, sold as one integrated platform. The IPP side earns a contracted tariff over a long horizon — a weighted average tariff of ₹3.85/kWh across the FY26 portfolio on a weighted average PPA tenor of 19.45 years — which is why pro forma EBITDA margin is 58.17% even though the reported FY26 margin is 18.11%. Manufacturing is lower margin and, for now, largely internal: of the roughly 6.38 GW module order book at 31 March 2026, only about 1.26 GW is binding contracts or letters of intent, and 1.23 GW of that binding portion is with the company's own subsidiaries. Execution leans heavily on the group: Inox Wind supplies turbines, Inox Renewable Solutions does EPC, Inox Green Energy Services does O&M and Gujarat Fluorochemicals is the single largest power customer at 33.47% of FY26 renewable energy revenue. Reported revenue from operations was ₹39.40 Cr in FY24, ₹47.24 Cr in FY25 and ₹178.13 Cr in FY26 — of the FY26 figure, ₹147.46 Cr was sale of renewable energy, ₹30.42 Cr sale of solar modules and ₹0.26 Cr other operating revenue, with the manufacturing business only commencing in FY26. The growth has been funded with debt: gross borrowings went from ₹351.76 Cr at March 2025 to ₹7,576.20 Cr at March 2026, and ₹16,781.8 Cr of fund-based borrowings by 31 August 2026.
What makes it hard to copy
Group vertical integration is the differentiator the DRHP actually leans on - turbines from Inox Wind, EPC from Inox Renewable Solutions and O&M from Inox Green Energy Services, all INOXGFL affiliates - paired with 6.00 GW of operational solar module capacity split across two continents at Bavla, Gujarat and Greenville, North Carolina.

The numbers
Revenue has compounded at 112.6% a year across the 3 reported financial years.
Figures in ₹ crore, as reported in the prospectus. Interim quarters are not annualised.
Profit and operating margin as a percentage of revenue
At each period end, in ₹ crore. Gearing below each period is borrowings over net worth, from these same figures.
Profit after tax and net cash from operating activities, in ₹ crore. The figure under each period is cash generated per ₹100 of profit.
Above 100% the business collects more cash than it books as profit. Persistently below it, growth is being funded out of working capital.
The price
Ratios as disclosed in the prospectus, calculated at the upper end of the price band. P/E is always shown on post-issue earnings so issues stay comparable with each other.
The company is loss-making, so there are no earnings to price
5 listed companies the prospectus names itself
Earnings and sales behind one share, and the multiple the band asks for them.
Returns and margins. These are the figures that say whether the multiple above is deserved.
Gearing at the latest balance-sheet date.
Asking P/E against operating margin. Bubble area is proportional to market capitalisation.
Peer companies are those named in the issuer's own prospectus. A higher position means better margins; further right means a more expensive multiple. A very small company may be drawn at a minimum mark size for legibility.
The terms
80% of the money raised is fresh capital that goes to the company; the rest goes to shareholders selling down.

Demand
Subscription is hard exchange data. Grey-market premium is not — it is an unofficial quote, shown because readers want it and labelled because it deserves the label.
Cumulative bid multiples
Bidding has not opened yet, so there is no subscription data to show.
Unofficial over-the-counter sentiment
No grey-market quotes have been recorded for this issue.
Work it out
Three calculations, each stating the assumption it rests on.
Shares are applied for in whole lots at the cut-off price. The full amount is blocked in your bank account under ASBA, not debited, until allotment.
The lot size and price band are not fixed yet, so there is nothing to calculate.
When the retail category is oversubscribed, SEBI requires a lottery for the minimum lot. Every application has the same chance, whatever its size.
Retail subscription figures are not available yet, so there is nothing to estimate from.
Arithmetic on an unofficial quote. The grey market has no clearing house and no obligation to settle — this is sentiment made numeric, not a forecast.
No grey-market quote has been recorded for this issue.
Our read
Grounded only in figures disclosed in the prospectus. This is analysis, not a recommendation.
Straight from the filing
Every figure on this page comes out of these. Go and check them.
Served by the issuer, the exchange or the regulator — never a copy hosted here, so what you open is the filing itself.
The paperwork
How these figures were checked
Reconciled to Inox Clean Energy's own prospectus and to exchange disclosures, then cross-checked against 10 other independently published compilations of the same filing. Where a stated ratio disagreed with the line items it should come from, the disagreement was settled against the prospectus itself.
The prospectus is the authoritative document. Check anything that matters against it before you act.
