The question this issue poses
Flipkart has finished the hard structural work for an Indian listing — NCLT approval in December 2025, re-domiciliation completed in March 2026 — and disclosed nothing else. The valuation being discussed runs from roughly $35 billion to $70 billion, a spread of about ₹2.9 lakh Cr, and no public financial statement for the proposed listing entity exists to narrow it.
IPOVista score
Every pillar opens to show the raw metric, the curve it was mapped through, the sub-score and its weight. Disagree with the weighting if you like — the arithmetic is all here.
IPOVista score
Not enough disclosed data to score
0% of the scoring model was backed by disclosed data for Flipkart, giving low confidence. Weights for anything missing were redistributed rather than scored as zero.
Below the line: market sentiment. Capped at 8 of 100 points so a hot grey market can tilt a score but never carry one.
The IPOVista Score is a transparent summary of disclosed fundamentals and issue terms. It is research, not investment advice, and it cannot predict listing performance.
The company
Bengaluru, Karnataka · part of Walmart Inc.
Flipkart is India's largest home-grown e-commerce group, majority owned by Walmart. Beyond the core marketplace — where its share of Indian online retail is estimated at 45–50% — the group runs Myntra in fashion, Ekart as its own logistics and delivery network, Shopsy for value commerce in smaller cities, Cleartrip in online travel, Flipkart Wholesale in B2B, Flipkart Minutes in quick commerce across more than 20 cities, and super.money in UPI payments. It reports more than 500 million registered users and employed about 22,000 people excluding Myntra as of January 2024. The group completed the structural prerequisite for an Indian listing in 2026: the National Company Law Tribunal approved the move in December 2025 and the re-domiciliation of the holding structure from Singapore to India completed in March 2026. PhonePe, formerly part of the group, was demerged earlier and is running its own, more advanced listing process.
Flipkart makes money from the marketplace rather than from owning inventory in the core business: commissions and fulfilment fees charged to third-party sellers, advertising sold against search and category placement, and logistics revenue from Ekart. The highest-margin and fastest-growing line is advertising, which monetises the same traffic twice. Around that sit businesses with their own economics — Myntra in fashion, which is reported to be profitable, Cleartrip taking travel commissions, Flipkart Wholesale operating a lower-margin B2B distribution model, and Flipkart Minutes burning capital to build a quick-commerce network against incumbents. Ownership is heavily concentrated: Walmart holds roughly 85% after consolidating stakes through internal buybacks around 2024, Tencent about 4%, Google took a minority position via a $350 million investment in May 2024, and co-founder Binny Bansal retains a small holding. That ownership shape matters for the offer: a listing can be sized almost entirely as a sale by Walmart without diluting control, which is why the structure is widely expected to be offer-for-sale heavy.
What makes it hard to copy
Flipkart owns its delivery network outright rather than renting it — Ekart runs more than 8,200 fulfilment, sortation and last-mile facilities across India, which is what lets the group set its own delivery promises and fulfilment economics.

Figures in ₹ crore
No financial periods are disclosed for this issue yet.
The price
Ratios as disclosed in the prospectus, calculated at the upper end of the price band. P/E is always shown on post-issue earnings so issues stay comparable with each other.
Valuation ratios have not been disclosed for this issue yet. They are normally published with the red herring prospectus, once the price band is fixed.
The terms
Demand
Subscription is hard exchange data. Grey-market premium is not — it is an unofficial quote, shown because readers want it and labelled because it deserves the label.
Cumulative bid multiples
Bidding has not opened yet, so there is no subscription data to show.
Unofficial over-the-counter sentiment
No grey-market quotes have been recorded for this issue.
Work it out
Three calculations, each stating the assumption it rests on.
Shares are applied for in whole lots at the cut-off price. The full amount is blocked in your bank account under ASBA, not debited, until allotment.
The lot size and price band are not fixed yet, so there is nothing to calculate.
When the retail category is oversubscribed, SEBI requires a lottery for the minimum lot. Every application has the same chance, whatever its size.
Retail subscription figures are not available yet, so there is nothing to estimate from.
Arithmetic on an unofficial quote. The grey market has no clearing house and no obligation to settle — this is sentiment made numeric, not a forecast.
No grey-market quote has been recorded for this issue.
