The question this issue poses
CleanMax runs a 67.87% EBITDA-margin business that earns almost nothing at the bottom line because ₹10,121.46 Cr of borrowings sits between the two — the issue asked 377.42× FY25 earnings for that, the book never filled, and the stock has since climbed 23.09% above the issue price on the back of a 4.4× jump in FY26 profit.
IPOVista score
Every pillar opens to show the raw metric, the curve it was mapped through, the sub-score and its weight. Disagree with the weighting if you like — the arithmetic is all here.
IPOVista score
Real growth, demanding price
70% of the scoring model was backed by disclosed data for CleanMax, giving medium confidence. Weights for anything missing were redistributed rather than scored as zero.
Below the line: market sentiment. Capped at 8 of 100 points so a hot grey market can tilt a score but never carry one.

Leveraged balance sheet
Debt-to-equity of 2.0× leaves limited headroom if demand softens or rates rise.
Priced above its peer group
The upper band asks a 54.2% premium to the median P/E of the listed peers named in the prospectus.
Grey market data is unofficial

The company
Founded 2010 · Churchgate, Mumbai, Maharashtra · 565 employees
CleanMax builds, owns and operates renewable power plants for businesses rather than for the grid. As of 31 October 2025 it had 2.80 GW of operational, owned and managed capacity and a further 3.17 GW contracted but not yet executed. Plants sit either inside a customer's own premises (onsite) or in CleanMax-developed solar, wind and hybrid farms that wheel power to the customer (offsite). It served 555 commercial and industrial customers as of 30 September 2025 — data centres and AI/technology firms alongside cement, steel, infrastructure, industrial manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, real estate and global capability centres — and 94.72% of them carried an 'A-' or better credit rating or were subsidiaries of multinationals with such ratings. Alongside supplying power it sells EPC and O&M services for renewable plants and carbon-credit solutions.
Capacity is funded largely with debt, built by CleanMax and then sold under very long contracts: the PPA book has a weighted-average tenure of 22.85 years and an average lock-in of 16.86 years, so revenue is contracted far into the future. The model is deliberately not the utility-scale one — CleanMax does not bid in lowest-tariff tenders run by state distribution companies, it prices project by project for corporate buyers, which is why FY25 EBITDA of ₹1,015.07 Cr was 67.87% of ₹1,495.70 Cr of revenue from operations. The catch is where that EBITDA goes: borrowings stood at ₹10,121.46 Cr on 30 September 2025 against net worth of ₹2,598.34 Cr, and finance costs absorbed most of the operating profit, leaving FY25 PAT of ₹19.43 Cr. Growth is funded by repeat business — 71.72% of capacity contracted in the six months to 30 September 2025 came from existing customers — and by more borrowing, which is what the fresh issue was raised to partly unwind.
What makes it hard to copy
On the CRISIL study carried in the prospectus, CleanMax had the widest geographic coverage of any C&I renewable energy player in India as of 31 March 2025 — 1,330 onsite solar plants totalling 368.06 MWp across 23 states and union territories plus the UAE, Bahrain and Thailand, and offsite farms across 10 states.

P/E against operating margin
The peer table does not carry both a P/E and an operating margin for enough companies to plot.
The terms
39% of the money raised is fresh capital that goes to the company; the rest goes to shareholders selling down.

Percentages are of the net offer, which excludes any employee or shareholder reservation.

Demand
Subscription is hard exchange data. Grey-market premium is not — it is an unofficial quote, shown because readers want it and labelled because it deserves the label.
Cumulative bid multiples at the end of day 3. Anchor allocations are excluded.
Hover or focus a category to see who bids in it.
A category subscribed above 1× is oversubscribed; allotment in that category then runs as a lottery or on a proportionate basis.
Anchor investors commit one working day before the issue opens and are locked in for 30 and 90 days. Who turns up here is the first real signal of institutional appetite.
Notable participants
Premium quoted over the ₹1053 cut-off price. Unofficial and unregulated — sentiment, not a forecast.
The grey market is an informal, unregulated market with no clearing house and no obligation to settle. A premium here does not guarantee a listing gain, and quotes can move sharply — this one ranged −₹35 to ₹4, a spread of ₹39, across the period shown.
Outcome
As of 13 Oct 2026
Work it out
Three calculations, each stating the assumption it rests on.
Shares are applied for in whole lots at the cut-off price. The full amount is blocked in your bank account under ASBA, not debited, until allotment.
One lot is 14 shares at ₹14,742. Retail applications are capped at ₹2,00,000, which allows up to 13 lots here — apply for more and you are bidding as a non-institutional investor instead.
When the retail category is oversubscribed, SEBI requires a lottery for the minimum lot. Every application has the same chance, whatever its size.
~100%
chance of one lot, per application
This is an estimate of a lottery, not a prediction. Actual odds depend on the final basis of allotment, how many applications were at the minimum lot, and rejections for technical reasons. Applying from multiple distinct PANs is the only legitimate way to hold more tickets in that lottery.
This issue has listed, so there is a real number instead of a prediction. The grey-market premium is shown beside it for comparison.
₹960.00
listed at, −8.8% against the issue price
The grey market called −3.3% and the stock did −8.8% — a miss of 5.5 percentage points.
