The question this issue poses
A profitable, fast-growing Indian Railways interiors contractor that came to market at 18.88× post-issue FY26 earnings with no listed comparable anywhere in its own prospectus — the question is what a ₹737.97 Cr order book is worth when ₹252.18 Cr of last year's revenue was still sitting in receivables and FY26 operating cash flow was negative ₹11.50 Cr.
IPOVista score
Every pillar opens to show the raw metric, the curve it was mapped through, the sub-score and its weight. Disagree with the weighting if you like — the arithmetic is all here.
IPOVista score
Undemanding multiple for the margins
93% of the scoring model was backed by disclosed data for Acme India, giving high confidence. Weights for anything missing were redistributed rather than scored as zero.
Below the line: market sentiment. Capped at 8 of 100 points so a hot grey market can tilt a score but never carry one.

SME platform listing
SME issues trade in larger lot sizes with thinner volumes than mainboard listings, which makes exiting a position harder.
Grey market data is unofficial

The company
Founded 2021 · New Delhi, Delhi · 278 employees
Acme India Industries builds the inside of Indian Railways passenger coaches. It designs, manufactures, installs and warranty-maintains coach interiors — flooring, wall panelling, ceilings, seats and berths, modular toilets and aluminium-polymer-composite sanitary ware, toilet and inter-communication doors, braille signage, fire-barrier decorative coatings and hygiene systems such as Automatic Hygiene and Odour Control. The work falls into three buckets: turnkey furnishing of brand-new LHB, Vande Bharat and self-propelled coaches for the production units at Integral Coach Factory Chennai, Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala and Modern Coach Factory Raebareli; refurbishment, upgradation and conversion of ageing coaches at railway workshops; and upgradation of coach toilets. The RHP credits the business with 1,610 coaches furnished across 28 projects since 2017, 1,888 coaches refurbished or upgraded since 2018 and 10,948 toilet upgrades to date. Manufacturing sits at Akbarpur Barota, Sonipat, Haryana on a site of over 92,000 square feet with an in-house laboratory and testing equipment; the company is ISO 9001:2015 certified by TUV Nord and ISO 15085 certified for railway welding, and is empanelled as a Business Associate under a Government of India Navratna PSU. Notable completed contracts include a ₹69.33 Cr turnkey furnishing order for AC-3 tier Economy coaches at Modern Coach Factory Raebareli and the refurbishment of 231 ICF broad-gauge coaches at the Jodhpur carriage workshop.
Work is won almost entirely through competitive tenders on IREPS, Indian Railways' e-procurement portal, and revenue is recognised as contracts are executed. The margin lever is vertical integration: products used in turnkey furnishing and refurbishment are either made in-house at Sonipat or bought in, and as the in-house share has risen the EBITDA margin has widened from 13.85% in FY24 and 13.69% in FY25 to 15.10% in FY26 on ₹263.71 Cr of revenue from operations. Forward revenue sits in an order book of ₹737.97 Cr as at 30 June 2026 across 40 orders, now weighted to toilet upgradation (46.92%) and supply to private clients (31.04%), with turnkey furnishing of new coaches down to 8.51% and refurbishment at 9.13%. Three roughly 51%-owned joint-venture subsidiaries — ACVI Joint Venture, Acme & Vibgyor JV and ACME and Vibgyor MLR JV — carry part of the project work. Because contracts are executed against railway workshop schedules and paid on certification, working capital rather than fixed capital is the binding constraint: trade receivables stood at ₹252.18 Cr at 31 March 2026, equal to 95.6% of the full year's revenue from operations, and short-term borrowings funded it at ₹84.66 Cr of the ₹85.18 Cr total debt. The company also carries four global tie-ups covering specialised doors, anodised aluminium foils, water-based polyurethane coatings and a proposed JV for passenger announcement and information systems on Vande Bharat trains and metros.
What makes it hard to copy
ISO 15085 certification for railway welding and ISO 9001:2015 from TUV Nord, behind a delivered record of 1,610 coaches furnished, 1,888 refurbished and 10,948 toilets upgraded across 28 coach variants, 3 production units, 2 mid-life rehabilitation units and 16 zonal railways.

The numbers
Revenue has compounded at 11.2% a year across the 3 reported financial years.
Figures in ₹ crore, as reported in the prospectus. Interim quarters are not annualised.
Profit and operating margin as a percentage of revenue
At each period end, in ₹ crore. Gearing below each period is borrowings over net worth, from these same figures.
Profit after tax and net cash from operating activities, in ₹ crore. The figure under each period is cash generated per ₹100 of profit.
Above 100% the business collects more cash than it books as profit. Persistently below it, growth is being funded out of working capital.
The price
Ratios as disclosed in the prospectus, calculated at the upper end of the price band. P/E is always shown on post-issue earnings so issues stay comparable with each other.

The terms
87% of the money raised is fresh capital that goes to the company; the rest goes to shareholders selling down.

Percentages are of the net offer, which excludes any employee or shareholder reservation.

Hover or focus an object to see whether that spending grows the business or repairs the balance sheet.
51% of the quantified proceeds is earmarked for growth; the rest repairs the balance sheet or is unallocated.
Demand
Subscription is hard exchange data. Grey-market premium is not — it is an unofficial quote, shown because readers want it and labelled because it deserves the label.
Cumulative bid multiples at the end of day 4. Anchor allocations are excluded.
Hover or focus a category to see who bids in it.
A category subscribed above 1× is oversubscribed; allotment in that category then runs as a lottery or on a proportionate basis.
Anchor investors commit one working day before the issue opens and are locked in for 30 and 90 days. Who turns up here is the first real signal of institutional appetite.
Premium quoted over the ₹196 cut-off price. Unofficial and unregulated — sentiment, not a forecast.
The grey market is an informal, unregulated market with no clearing house and no obligation to settle. A premium here does not guarantee a listing gain, and quotes can move sharply — this one ranged ₹43 to ₹43, a spread of ₹0, across the period shown.
Outcome
As of 13 Oct 2026
Work it out
Three calculations, each stating the assumption it rests on.
Shares are applied for in whole lots at the cut-off price. The full amount is blocked in your bank account under ASBA, not debited, until allotment.
One lot is 600 shares at ₹1,17,600. This issue requires a minimum of 2 lots, so the smallest application is ₹2,35,200. That already exceeds the ₹2,00,000 retail ceiling, so every application here bids into the non-institutional category — which is normal on the SME board. Since April 2022 that category is also allotted by draw of lots for the minimum application when it is oversubscribed, so the odds beside this apply much the same way.
When the retail category is oversubscribed, SEBI requires a lottery for the minimum lot. Every application has the same chance, whatever its size.
~1%
chance of one lot, per application
This is an estimate of a lottery, not a prediction. Actual odds depend on the final basis of allotment, how many applications were at the minimum lot, and rejections for technical reasons. Applying from multiple distinct PANs is the only legitimate way to hold more tickets in that lottery.
This issue has listed, so there is a real number instead of a prediction. The grey-market premium is shown beside it for comparison.
₹221.00
listed at, 12.8% against the issue price
The grey market called 21.9% and the stock did 12.8% — a miss of 9.2 percentage points.

The paperwork
How these figures were checked
Reconciled to Acme India's own prospectus and to exchange disclosures, then cross-checked against 10 other independently published compilations of the same filing. Where a stated ratio disagreed with the line items it should come from, the disagreement was settled against the prospectus itself.
