The question this issue poses

In one sentence

Advit Jewels manufactures handcrafted Kundan and Polki jewellery in Jaipur and sells most of it wholesale: the record puts B2B retail jewellers at 78.40% of FY25 revenue, B2C at 18.37% and job work at 3.23%. Revenue was Rs 46.60 Cr in FY23, Rs 69.44 Cr in FY24 and Rs 124.94 Cr in FY25, with profit after tax of Rs 10.39 Cr, Rs 14.71 Cr and Rs 25.37 Cr over the same three years; total borrowings over those years were Rs 5.84 Cr, Rs 19.70 Cr and Rs 74.80 Cr, and the record describes FY25 operating cash flow as negative Rs 36.98 Cr. The Rs 165.16 Cr issue was entirely fresh, with no offer for sale, priced at Rs 130-138 and open from 23 to 25 June 2026. It was subscribed 212.63 times overall on day three, it listed at Rs 188.90 on 1 July 2026 against a band top of Rs 138, and it was quoted at Rs 355.40 on 23 October 2026.

The company

What the business actually does

Founded 2019 · Jaipur, Rajasthan, India · 111 employees

Advit Jewels manufactures handcrafted fine jewellery in Jaipur — necklaces, earrings, rings, bangles and made-to-order pieces, specialising in Kundan and Polki work using gold, diamond polki and coloured stones, made in 14- and 18-carat gold. Most of what it makes is sold to other jewellers: dealers, showrooms and national, regional and family retailers who resell it, with a smaller direct-to-consumer business for exclusive commissions. Production runs from one leased 6,450 sq ft unit in Jaipur equipped with 3D printers, casting and polishing machines, covering melting through to final finishing. The company was incorporated in October 2019 to carry on a family jewellery business trading under the Rambhajo name, which the prospectus traces to a Jaipur venture started in 1921. It employed 111 people at 30 April 2026.

Revenue is wholesale jewellery sales. In FY25, B2B retail jewellers took 78.40% of the ₹124.94 Cr revenue, B2C 18.37% and job work 3.23%; the top ten customers were 54.17%. Materials dominate cost — ₹130.12 Cr of gold and stones consumed in FY25, of which ₹48.03 Cr went into building inventory rather than into goods sold — against a 32.89% gross margin and 29.73% EBITDA margin. The structural constraint is working capital: inventory of ₹107.24 Cr at 31 March 2025 equalled 85.83% of revenue and turned in 199 days, and B2B buyers get one to two months' credit, so FY25 operating cash flow was negative ₹36.98 Cr despite ₹25.37 Cr of profit. Borrowings reached ₹74.80 Cr; the issue repaid ₹65 Cr of bank debt.

Percentages are of paid-up equity, and the “after” column assumes the offer is fully subscribed, which is how the offer document states it. This record does not disclose a pre- and post-issue share count, so the part of the company actually changing hands is not split out — everyone who is not a promoter is shown together.

Work it out

What this means for one application

Three calculations, each stating the assumption it rests on.

What one application costs

Shares are applied for in whole lots at the cut-off price. The full amount is blocked in your bank account under ASBA, not debited, until allotment.

1 lot, 100 shares, ₹13,800 blocked

One lot is 100 shares at ₹13,800. Retail applications are capped at ₹2,00,000, which allows up to 14 lots here — apply for more and you are bidding as a non-institutional investor instead.

Odds of getting an allotment

When the retail category is oversubscribed, SEBI requires a lottery for the minimum lot. Every application has the same chance, whatever its size.

Applicants per share available
95.3× the retail quota

This is an estimate of a lottery, not a prediction. Actual odds depend on the final basis of allotment, how many applications were at the minimum lot, and rejections for technical reasons. Applying from multiple distinct PANs is the only legitimate way to hold more tickets in that lottery.

Our read

The case for and against

Grounded only in figures disclosed in the prospectus. This is analysis, not a recommendation.

What works

  • Revenue rose 49.01% in FY24, from Rs 46.60 Cr to Rs 69.44 Cr, and 79.93% in FY25, from Rs 69.44 Cr to Rs 124.94 Cr.
  • Profit after tax rose 41.58% in FY24, from Rs 10.39 Cr to Rs 14.71 Cr, and 72.47% in FY25, from Rs 14.71 Cr to Rs 25.37 Cr. Net worth over the same three years was Rs 18.08 Cr, Rs 32.80 Cr and Rs 58.13 Cr.
  • EBITDA margin was 27.40% in FY23 (Rs 12.77 Cr on Rs 46.60 Cr), 27.29% in FY24 (Rs 18.95 Cr on Rs 69.44 Cr) and 29.73% in FY25 (Rs 37.15 Cr on Rs 124.94 Cr).
  • The whole Rs 165.16 Cr issue was fresh, the offer for sale being nil, and that Rs 165.16 Cr is 2.84 times the Rs 58.13 Cr of net worth on the books at 31 March 2025. The record states the issue repaid Rs 65 Cr of bank debt, which is 86.90% of the Rs 74.80 Cr of borrowings carried at that date.

What to weigh against it

  • Working capital absorbed more than the year earned. The record puts inventory at Rs 107.24 Cr on 31 March 2025, equal to 85.83% of FY25 revenue of Rs 124.94 Cr and turning in 199 days; of Rs 130.12 Cr of gold and stones consumed in FY25, Rs 48.03 Cr went into building inventory rather than into goods sold. FY25 operating cash flow is described as negative Rs 36.98 Cr against Rs 25.37 Cr of profit after tax.
  • Total borrowings were Rs 5.84 Cr in FY23 and rose at each later year on record, to Rs 19.70 Cr in FY24 and Rs 74.80 Cr in FY25. Against net worth of Rs 18.08 Cr, Rs 32.80 Cr and Rs 58.13 Cr, that is 0.32, 0.60 and 1.29 times, rising at both transitions the record carries.
  • Customers and production are both concentrated. In FY25 the top ten customers were 54.17% of revenue and B2B retail jewellers 78.40%, and the record states those B2B buyers get one to two months' credit. Production runs from a single leased 6,450 sq ft unit in Jaipur, and the company employed 111 people at 30 April 2026.
  • Margin moved in opposite directions at the two ends of the profit and loss account. EBITDA margin was 29.73% in FY25 (Rs 37.15 Cr on Rs 124.94 Cr) against 27.40% in FY23 (Rs 12.77 Cr on Rs 46.60 Cr), while profit-after-tax margin was 20.31% in FY25 (Rs 25.37 Cr on Rs 124.94 Cr), 21.18% in FY24 (Rs 14.71 Cr on Rs 69.44 Cr) and 22.30% in FY23 (Rs 10.39 Cr on Rs 46.60 Cr), lower at each step on record.

Easy to miss in the prospectus

  • The record's financials stop at FY25, the year ended 31 March 2025. The issue closed on 25 June 2026 and the quoted price is as of 23 October 2026, so no post-issue reporting period is in this record.
  • The newest borrowings figure on record is Rs 74.80 Cr at 31 March 2025, which predates the Rs 65 Cr of bank debt the record says the issue repaid. The record carries no later balance sheet.
  • The record holds no valuation, peer, allocation or anchor data and no offer-objects breakdown, and neither pre- nor post-issue share count, so no earnings multiple or market capitalisation can be computed from it. Promoter holding is given as 94.29% before the issue and 69.67% after, a fall of 24.62 percentage points.
