The company

What the business actually does

Founded 2013 · Halvad, Surendranagar, Gujarat · 205 employees

Aastha Spintex spins cotton into yarn and gins raw cotton into bales at a single integrated plant at Halvad in Gujarat. It makes 100% cotton yarn in counts from Ne 26 to Ne 40 — carded, combed and compact combed — which buyers knit or weave into denim, terry towels, shirting, sheeting, sweaters, socks, bottom wear, home textiles and industrial fabrics. The ginning line feeds bales to the company's own spinning mill and sells the surplus to other spinning units. Cotton seed from ginning, and comber, licker-in and hard waste from spinning, are sold on to oil extraction, animal feed, open-end yarn and non-woven fabric makers. Aastha sells only business-to-business — to textile manufacturers, yarn exporters, bulk purchasers and fabric processors — and had 205 employees at 31 December 2025.

Revenue is tonnage of yarn and bales sold at cotton-linked prices, so earnings are the spread between cotton bought and yarn sold rather than a price the company sets. Cost of material consumed was Rs 30,199.76 lakh against revenue from operations of Rs 35,116.02 lakh in FY25, leaving a thin gap between input and output. Capacity caps volume: 25,920 spindles across 15 compact ring spinning machines, 7,700 MT of yarn and 12,000 MT of ginning a year. Distribution is the other constraint — one exclusive reseller, 7 Seas Impex, carried 33.88% of domestic product sales in FY25, down from 66.61% in FY23. Borrowings stood at Rs 10,147.40 lakh at 31 December 2025.

Percentages are of paid-up equity, and the “after” column assumes the offer is fully subscribed, which is how the offer document states it. What an allotment is worth now, before costs

Work it out

What this means for one application

Three calculations, each stating the assumption it rests on.

What one application costs

Shares are applied for in whole lots at the cut-off price. The full amount is blocked in your bank account under ASBA, not debited, until allotment.

1 lot, 110 shares, ₹14,960 blocked

One lot is 110 shares at ₹14,960. Retail applications are capped at ₹2,00,000, which allows up to 13 lots here — apply for more and you are bidding as a non-institutional investor instead.

Odds of getting an allotment

When the retail category is oversubscribed, SEBI requires a lottery for the minimum lot. Every application has the same chance, whatever its size.

~43%

chance of one lot, per application

Retail subscription
2.33×
Applicants per share available
2.3× the retail quota

This is an estimate of a lottery, not a prediction. Actual odds depend on the final basis of allotment, how many applications were at the minimum lot, and rejections for technical reasons. Applying from multiple distinct PANs is the only legitimate way to hold more tickets in that lottery.

Our read

The case for and against

Grounded only in figures disclosed in the prospectus. This is analysis, not a recommendation.

What works

  • Revenue was Rs 239.27 Cr in FY23 and higher in each later annual period on record: Rs 304.86 Cr in FY24, 27.41% above FY23, and Rs 351.16 Cr in FY25, 15.19% above FY24.
  • EBITDA margin was 4.85% in FY23, being Rs 11.60 Cr on Rs 239.27 Cr; 11.23% in FY24, being Rs 34.25 Cr on Rs 304.86 Cr; and 13.20% in FY25, being Rs 46.36 Cr on Rs 351.16 Cr. In the nine months to 31 December 2025 it was 11.25%, being Rs 35.25 Cr on Rs 313.29 Cr, below the FY25 level.
  • Net worth was Rs 60.01 Cr in FY23 and higher at every later period on record: Rs 76.38 Cr in FY24, Rs 121.05 Cr in FY25 and Rs 153.18 Cr at 31 December 2025. Borrowings measured against net worth were lower at each of those periods: 81.01 over 60.01 is 1.35x, 82.86 over 76.38 is 1.08x, 95.05 over 121.05 is 0.79x and 101.47 over 153.18 is 0.66x.
  • The issue was entirely primary, with a fresh issue of Rs 170 Cr and an offer for sale of Rs 0, so the whole Rs 170 Cr total size was raised by the company rather than by selling shareholders. Promoter holding is recorded at 74.23% before the issue and 53.21% after, a fall of 21.02 percentage points.

What to weigh against it

  • Cost of material consumed was Rs 30,199.76 lakh against revenue from operations of Rs 35,116.02 lakh in FY25, or 86.00% of revenue. The record describes earnings as the spread between cotton bought and yarn sold rather than a price the company sets.
  • Borrowings were Rs 81.01 Cr in FY23 and higher at every later period on record: Rs 82.86 Cr in FY24, Rs 95.05 Cr in FY25 and Rs 101.47 Cr at 31 December 2025, 25.26% above the FY23 level.
  • 7 Seas Impex, described in the record as an exclusive reseller, carried 33.88% of domestic product sales in FY25, down from 66.61% in FY23.
  • The shares listed at Rs 130, 4.41% below the band top of Rs 136, and last traded at Rs 22.42 on 23 October 2026, 83.51% below that band top and 82.75% below the Rs 130 listing price.

Easy to miss in the prospectus

  • The nine months to 31 December 2025 are the newest figures in the record: revenue Rs 313.29 Cr, EBITDA Rs 35.25 Cr and profit after tax Rs 17.56 Cr. That revenue is 89.22% of the FY25 full year of Rs 351.16 Cr in three quarters. Scaled to twelve months at the same rate the three would be Rs 417.72 Cr, Rs 47.00 Cr and Rs 23.41 Cr, which are my annualisations and not figures in the record, against FY25's Rs 351.16 Cr, Rs 46.36 Cr and Rs 22.92 Cr. No FY26 full-year figures are in the record.
  • The record carries no cash flow from operations, no total assets and no expenses line for any of the four periods, and its valuation, peers, offer objects, allocation and anchor entries are all empty or null.
  • Capacity on record is 25,920 spindles across 15 compact ring spinning machines, 7,700 MT of yarn and 12,000 MT of ginning a year, but the record carries no tonnage sold for any period, so revenue cannot be split into volume and price within it.
