IPOVista score
How this issue scores, and why
Every pillar opens to show the raw metric, the curve it was mapped through, the sub-score and its weight. Disagree with the weighting if you like — the arithmetic is all here.
IPOVista score
Growing and reasonably priced
67% of the scoring model was backed by disclosed data for Maxwell Engineering, giving medium confidence. Weights for anything missing were redistributed rather than scored as zero.
How this score is builtBelow the line: market sentiment. Capped at 8 of 100 points so a hot grey market can tilt a score but never carry one.

SME platform listing
SME issues trade in larger lot sizes with thinner volumes than mainboard listings, which makes exiting a position harder.
Grey market data is unofficial
GMP is an unregulated, unverifiable over-the-counter quote. It is shown as a sentiment indicator and carries no settlement guarantee.
The IPOVista Score is a transparent summary of disclosed fundamentals and issue terms. It is research, not investment advice, and it cannot predict listing performance.

The company
What the business actually does
Maxwell Engineering Solutions manufactures, trades and services critical components for underwater pelletizing systems — the machinery that cuts molten polymer into pellets. Its own products are pelletizing die plates, pelletizing blades/knives, blade holders/cutter hubs and tapped driving bushes, made at a company-owned plant at Plot Nos. 939 & 940, Waghodia GIDC, Vaghodia, Vadodara, Gujarat, which it began operating on 1 July 2025 after transitioning out of a leased unit at Makarpura GIDC, Vadodara. It also refurbishes and repairs used die plates, resells complementary components it does not make, and acts as an intermediary and marketing representative for a third party named CJTEK. The business is export-led: exports were 84.73% of revenue from operations in FY26, with customers in more than 25 countries.
Revenue comes from three streams. Manufacturing is the core: die plates, blades/knives, blade holders and tapped driving bushes precision-machined to customer specification on VMC, CNC, EDM, wire-cut, milling, lathe, furnace and surface-grinding equipment, sold either under the "Maxwell" brand or on a white-label basis so customers can market them as their own. Alongside this the company undertakes "selective trading" of complementary components — blades/knives, driving bushes, blade holders and related items — bought in to complete a customer's order; the RHP states the new owned facility is expected to "progressively reduce our dependence on trading activities". The third stream is services: refurbishing and repairing used die plates (which the filing says lets customers cut cost), acting as intermediary between CJTEK and third parties for marketing and supply of CJTEK components, management consulting to identify and develop new customer relationships, and representing CJTEK at exhibitions. Part of the production chain is outsourced — job workers perform machining, fabrication, welding, painting and ancillary operations on company-supplied raw material, and heat treatment, hardening and coating are sent out entirely because the company has no in-house facility for them. Raw materials are mainly steel, carbide and brazing filler, from a limited supplier base. End markets are polymer compounding, masterbatches, engineering plastics, cable compounds, specialty polymers and plastics recycling. Concentration is high at both ends: the top 10 customers were approximately 65.71% of revenue from operations in FY26 (73.03% FY25, 70.45% FY24), and exports were 84.73% of FY26 revenue from operations.

What the market is bidding
Subscription is hard exchange data. Grey-market premium is not — it is an unofficial quote, shown because readers want it and labelled because it deserves the label.
Subscription by category
Cumulative bid multiples at the end of day 1. Anchor allocations are excluded.
Hover or focus a category to see who bids in it.
A category subscribed above 1× is oversubscribed; allotment in that category then runs as a lottery or on a proportionate basis.

Notable participants
Grey market premium
Premium quoted over the ₹158 cut-off price. Unofficial and unregulated — sentiment, not a forecast.
The grey market is an informal, unregulated market with no clearing house and no obligation to settle. A premium here does not guarantee a listing gain, and quotes can move sharply — this one ranged ₹27 to ₹70, a spread of ₹43, across the period shown.
Work it out
What this means for one application
Three calculations, each stating the assumption it rests on.
What one application costs
Shares are applied for in whole lots at the cut-off price. The full amount is blocked in your bank account under ASBA, not debited, until allotment.
- Shares applied for
- 1,600
- At cut-off price
- ₹158.00
- Amount blocked
- ₹2,52,800
One lot is 800 shares at ₹1,26,400. This issue requires a minimum of 2 lots, so the smallest application is ₹2,52,800. That is how the SME board is built rather than a quirk of this issue: the minimum application is set above the ₹2,00,000 that caps a retail bid on the mainboard — two lots rather than one. The smallest bid here still sits in the individual investors’ category, the one the subscription figures call retail, and when that category is oversubscribed the minimum application is allotted by draw of lots — so the odds beside this apply directly.
Applying needs a demat account with a linked UPI ID, and the ₹2,52,800 is blocked rather than debited.

Odds of getting an allotment
When the retail category is oversubscribed, SEBI requires a lottery for the minimum lot. Every application has the same chance, whatever its size.
7.27×
retail demand so far, to 30 Oct
Bidding is still open, so there are no odds to quote yet. Most of a retail book arrives on the final day, and the figure above is the exchange’s last settled total — not where this issue will end. Odds appear here once the book closes.
What the grey market implies
Arithmetic on an unofficial quote. The grey market has no clearing house and no obligation to settle — this is sentiment made numeric, not a forecast.

How to apply to this issue
Nothing on this page is a recommendation to apply. If you have decided to, this is what the process needs.
Applying to Maxwell Engineering
You need a demat account to apply
Every IPO application in India goes through a demat account with a linked UPI ID. If you do not have one yet, opening it is free and usually done the same day.
- An IPO application needs a demat account and a UPI ID linked to it.
- The money is blocked under ASBA, not debited — only an allotment is charged.
- Applications close at 5pm IST on the final day, and most brokers stop accepting UPI mandates earlier in the afternoon.
- One application per PAN per category. Separate family members need their own PAN, demat and bank account.
