The company

What the business actually does

Founded 2012 · 201 A/B and 203, 2nd Floor, Trade World, D Wing, Kamala Mills Compound, S.B. Marg, Lower Parel West, Mumbai 400013, Maharashtra · 297 employees

Augmont Enterprises buys, refines and sells gold and silver in India. Its main business is Augmont SPOT, an electronic over-the-counter platform on which GST-registered jewellers, bullion dealers and manufacturers order gold and silver bars and take physical delivery at the company's spot delivery centres; the platform had over 5,223 registered members as of 31 March 2026. The company runs two refining units, at Rudrapur, Uttarakhand (144 MTPA installed capacity) and Mumbai (140 MTPA), and a jewellery unit in the Sitapur SEZ, Jaipur, that makes gold chains sold to traders in Hong Kong, Turkey and the UAE. A consumer arm, Augmont Gold For All, sells digital gold and silver, coins from 1 gram, and gold savings plans. It was present across 24 states as of 31 March 2026.

Revenue is booked as the gross value of bullion sold, so the top line is very large and the spread very thin. Revenue from operations was ₹94,186.21 Cr in FY26 against EBITDA of ₹385.95 Cr — an EBITDA margin of 0.41%, versus 0.46% in FY25 and 0.30% in FY24; profit-for-the-year margin was 0.37% in FY26. Enterprise sales through Augmont SPOT plus international sales were 92.90% of FY26 revenue from operations, and the top 10 customers 52.09%. The structural constraint is working capital: the prospectus states the company cannot access debt financing for its working capital requirements, and ₹465.00 Cr of the fresh issue was earmarked for inventory procurement and advance margin.

Percentages are of paid-up equity, and the “after” column assumes the offer is fully subscribed, which is how the offer document states it. What an allotment is worth now, before costs

Work it out

What this means for one application

Three calculations, each stating the assumption it rests on.

What one application costs

Shares are applied for in whole lots at the cut-off price. The full amount is blocked in your bank account under ASBA, not debited, until allotment.

Lots
1 lot, 19 shares, ₹14,972 blocked

One lot is 19 shares at ₹14,972. Retail applications are capped at ₹2,00,000, which allows up to 13 lots here — apply for more and you are bidding as a non-institutional investor instead.

Odds of getting an allotment

When the retail category is oversubscribed, SEBI requires a lottery for the minimum lot. Every application has the same chance, whatever its size.

~3%

Applicants per share available
31.0× the retail quota

This is an estimate of a lottery, not a prediction. Actual odds depend on the final basis of allotment, how many applications were at the minimum lot, and rejections for technical reasons. Applying from multiple distinct PANs is the only legitimate way to hold more tickets in that lottery.

Our read

The case for and against

Grounded only in figures disclosed in the prospectus. This is analysis, not a recommendation.

What works

  • Profit after tax rose in both years the record can measure a change over: Rs 75.97 Cr in FY24, Rs 227.19 Cr in FY25 (up 199.05%) and Rs 348.30 Cr in FY26 (up 53.31%). Net worth moved in the same direction across all three years, Rs 204.87 Cr, Rs 422.94 Cr and Rs 926.87 Cr.
  • Total borrowings fell in every year the record carries: Rs 54.86 Cr in FY24, Rs 21.54 Cr in FY25 and Rs 12.67 Cr in FY26. Set against net worth, borrowings were 26.78% of Rs 204.87 Cr in FY24, 5.09% of Rs 422.94 Cr in FY25 and 1.37% of Rs 926.87 Cr in FY26.
  • The issue was weighted towards fresh capital: Rs 620 Cr of the Rs 825 Cr total, or 75.15%, with the offer for sale at Rs 205 Cr. Promoter holding goes from 92.75% pre-issue to 81.91% post-issue, a fall of 10.84 percentage points.
  • On the final day of bidding the issue was subscribed 105.78 times overall, with the QIB category at 226.96 times, NII at 121.47 times and retail at 30.98 times.

What to weigh against it

  • Margins on this gross-value revenue base are very thin and have not run in one direction across the three years present: EBITDA margin was 0.30% in FY24 (Rs 103.92 Cr on Rs 34,921.49 Cr), 0.46% in FY25 (Rs 304.09 Cr on Rs 66,230.78 Cr) and 0.41% in FY26 (Rs 385.95 Cr on Rs 94,186.21 Cr).
  • EBITDA grew more slowly than revenue in FY26: EBITDA rose 26.92% (Rs 304.09 Cr to Rs 385.95 Cr) while revenue rose 42.21% (Rs 66,230.78 Cr to Rs 94,186.21 Cr).
  • Revenue is concentrated by channel and by customer. The filing states that enterprise sales through Augmont SPOT plus international sales were 92.90% of FY26 revenue from operations, and that the top 10 customers accounted for 52.09%.
  • The prospectus states that the company cannot access debt financing for its working capital requirements, and Rs 465.00 Cr of the Rs 620 Cr fresh issue, or 75.00% of it, is earmarked for inventory procurement and advance margin.

Easy to miss in the prospectus

  • Profit after tax grew faster than EBITDA in FY26, 53.31% against 26.92%. The record carries no expenses, depreciation, finance cost or tax line for any year, so that gap cannot be decomposed from this page.
  • Net worth rose Rs 503.93 Cr in FY26, from Rs 422.94 Cr to Rs 926.87 Cr, against profit after tax of Rs 348.30 Cr for the year. The record carries no cash flow from operations or equity-movement line for any of the three years.
  • The price path on record: listed at Rs 961 against a band top of Rs 788, a listing gain of 21.95%; closed day one at Rs 908.15, which is 5.50% below the listing price; and last traded at Rs 1,096.30 on 23 October 2026, 39.12% above the band top.

How these figures were checked

Reconciled to Augmont's own prospectus and to exchange disclosures, then cross-checked against 6 other independently published compilations of the same filing. Where a stated ratio disagreed with the line items it should come from, the disagreement was settled against the prospectus itself.
